Eliza is a counselor, author, speaker, and trainer committed to providing gospel-centered care and resources for the whole person.
Meet Eliza
Eliza is passionate about providing gospel-centered, holistic care and resources to individuals and families. With her unique blend of biblical and clinical training, she understands the intricacies of the human experience, including the spiritual, emotional, and physical aspects of life.
As an expert counselor she provides compassionate care to individuals seeking healing and restoration that is connected to their faith. As an author and speaker, she uses her platform to share her knowledge and experience with others, empowering them to embrace wholeness and wellness in all of life.
Eliza holds a Master of Arts in Counseling and has advanced certificates in biblical counseling from The Christian Counseling Educational Foundation (CCEF) and The Association of Biblical Counselors (ABC). She is also a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC/LCP) and has specialized training as a Certified Clinical Professional Trauma Therapist (CCPTT) and has completed training in other areas including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Group Traumatic Episode Protocol (GTEP).
Eliza is the director of counseling at McLean Bible Church located in the Washington D.C. metro area. She teaches counseling classes for Metro Baltimore Seminary in Maryland. She is the author of The Whole Life: 52 Weeks of Biblical Self-Care, Raising Teens in a Hyper-Sexualized World, Raising Kids in a Screen-Saturated World, Raising Emotionally Healthy Kids, How to Get the Most Out of Your Counseling, Count Yourself Calm, Teens and Anxiety: How Parents Can Help, and others which can be found on the books page.
In addition to having a passion for counseling, Eliza also loves to be out in nature. When she is not in the office, you can find her exploring the beauty of the outdoors. Whether she’s wandering along a trail, soaking in the sunshine near a lake, or simply taking in the peaceful sounds of a nearby river, Eliza finds refreshment in the serenity and beauty of God’s creation.
